I wear several hats at the firm. I have my own set of cases, but I often provide trial support for others in the firm. I also help train the newer lawyers in the firm.
I graduated from The University of Texas in 1992 with a degree in Government. I graduated from the Texas Tech School of Law in 1995. While there, I was part of two Marshall Law School Moot Court Teams and a moot team that won regionals and advanced to the national finals in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition hosted by the American Bar Association.
I was made a Member of the Order of Barristers. I started out my legal career as a prosecutor for the Allied Area Narcotics Task Force, primarily as an Assistant District Attorney for the 63 rd Judicial District based in Del Rio, Texas, although I briefly held a concurrent commission as an A.D.A for the 293 rd /365 th District Attorney’s Office in Eagle Pass, Texas. Subsequently, I prosecuted misdemeanor cases for the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s Office before moving over to the Guadalupe County Attorney’s Office where I was in charge of juvenile prosecution while still handling my own set of misdemeanor cases and appellate matters.
I began working in Dallas as a Central Staff Attorney for the Fifth District Court of Appeals, working with all Justices on the Court, including visiting judges, on criminal matters. However, before my four-year tenure at the Court ended, I was also assisting the Court with civil appeals. In 2003, I joined this firm as a litigator. Since then I have practiced in trial and appellate courts in both the state and federal systems on behalf of clients all over the United States and several European countries. I am a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Texas District and County Attorney’s Association, a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, and a Life Member of the Texas Ex-Students Association.
